Tyrelle Walker is the Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of The Walker Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children, women, and seniors experiencing medical hair loss, disabilities, or instability due to foster care or homelessness. Since founding the organization with his wife, Aisha Styles Walker, in 2020, Tyrelle has led innovative programs that serve over 1,000 individuals annually throughout Kansas City and the surrounding region.

With a background in community advocacy and operational management, Tyrelle blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership to develop and expand sustainable initiatives. He created “Crown Kingz,” a mentorship and free grooming program for boys in foster care and school systems, and leads the organization’s hallmark events, including HAIRitage Day and the Walker Kids Hair Fair. These efforts, supported by a volunteer network of more than 60 local cosmetologists and barbers, provide free hair care, custom wigs, and educational workshops, restoring confidence and dignity to youth and families in need.

Under Tyrelle’s leadership, The Walker Foundation has formed impactful partnerships with schools, local agencies, and healthcare organizations, expanding its reach and securing vital resources for its mission. The organization’s success and community impact have earned recognition from the Kansas City Council on Youth Development and regional media outlets.

As a leader, Tyrelle believes deeply in equitable access to self-care and self-expression. He is committed to building sustainable, culturally informed programs that address pressing health equity and child welfare issues. Tyrelle’s vision continues to guide The Walker Foundation toward long-term impact and growth, ensuring every child and family they serve feels seen, valued, and empowered.
