Wiggy Love

Another big part of The Walker Foundation is providing hair wigs. These are not just ordinary wigs, but specially customized for children that are experiencing hair loss. To support, develop and widen the Wiggy Love project, The Walker Foundation accepts hair and wig donations for children in hospitals that suffer from hair loss conditions.

The idea for expanding the “The Walker Foundation” hair services through Healthy Hair program comes from the founder itself – Aisha Walker. Being hospitalized few months ago and realizing that she did not have an access to hair care at the hospital was more than motivation to do something. Aisha noticed dryness and shedding on her pillowcases. At that moment, she wished there was someone who would come and help her with the hair maintenance while she would focus on her health. That in particular was how Healthy Hair for hospitals project was born. The importance of the overall health included the healthy hair too, including hair hygiene as part of the healing process. Just washing and styling her hair was an extra motivation to brighten her spirits and to motivate her to go further and fight for her health.

With this idea and motivation, the Healthy Hair program is an idea and desire as a service placed in hospitals, offering great resource to have a shot at beauty while focusing on health.
